Conversion to a new legal form – Newtron increases flexibility as limited liability company
As of January 1st, 2018, the eSolution provider Newtron has changed its legal form from a stock corporation (Aktiengesellschaft, AG) to a limited liability company (GmbH). Entry in the commercial register has already been effected.
"This step will lead to a significant streamlining of our structures and internal processes, thus freeing up resources," says Michael Bibow, CEO of Newtron. “As a limited liability company, we now have greater flexibility and are therefore able to anticipate the constantly changing framework conditions in electronic procurement with tailored solutions at a faster pace and with greater precision than ever before. This will allow more time for our customers."
The change in legal form is in part due to the acquisition of Newtron by SupplyOn AG, Hallbergmoos (Munich) in January 2017. For 17 years now, SupplyOn has been a leading supply chain platform provider for the manufacturing industry, enabling companies to manage their business processes with their suppliers and service providers in a structured and secure manner.
In Germany, Newtron is located in Dresden and Hamburg and is rapidly expanding. An additional development team is also currently being set up in Dresden. To this end, Newtron continues to invest in the latest technologies and methods. The move to larger premises is expected in the near future. “This will make NEWTRON even more attractive to customers," says Bibow. “Apart from that, Newtron continues to serve as a stable and innovative partner for our business partners. All contracts will be maintained in their original form."
